Spam from SkillPages

We’ve received a number of reports of spam email appearing to originate from SkillPages.

The emails arrive ¬†under the name of someone you know, with a message that that person has “added you to SkillPages”. ¬†The mail then provides a link for you to log in.

The method of transmission appears to be largely viral – once on the site users are encouraged to provide access to their contacts lists, which then results in emails being sent to those users.

Please think carefully before using this service, particularly before providing contact details for other people.

The “stop receiving email” link at the bottom of the email appears to be functional.
