The IT Security Team has received some phishing attempts from unknown sources claiming incoming mails were placed on pending status by the ‘ANU Technical Support Team’ and asking users to click a link that attempts to harvest credentials.
The ANU will never send mail of this sort to users. Users can send such scam/spam messages as attachments to spam@anu.edu.au or if you are unsure send them to it.security@anu.edu.au. Watch out for phishing attempts like these and protect yourself from identity theft.
If you have replied to a mail like this please let us know and change your password immediately.
